Terms of Service

Version 1.0 — Last updated March 19, 2026

Summary: You are purchasing a monthly commercial license to sell physical printed derivatives of covered models. You are not purchasing or receiving any right to redistribute the digital files. The Fan plan does not include commercial print resale rights.

1. Parties and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Codebrain Forge ("the Service"), operated by the site owner ("we," "us," or "Forge"). By creating an account or subscribing to any plan, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

Codebrain Forge is a subscription licensing platform. It manages the commercial print licensing rights for a specific collection of 3D models. The 3D model files themselves are not sold or distributed through this Service. Model files are available for free download elsewhere (currently MakerWorld). This Service exists solely to grant and manage the commercial right to sell physical printed derivatives of those models.

3. Commercial Print License

A commercial subscription (Print License 100 or Print License 500) grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to manufacture and sell physical printed objects ("Prints") derived from covered 3D models, subject to the following conditions:

  • The license is valid only while your subscription is active and in good standing.
  • Selling is permitted only up to your plan's monthly print cap (100 or 500 physical items per calendar month).
  • The license covers physical Prints only. It does not cover digital files, digital products, or any derivative digital works.
  • The license is personal to you and your account. It cannot be transferred, sublicensed, or shared.

4. What is Never Permitted

Regardless of your subscription tier, the following are prohibited at all times:

  • Reselling, redistributing, sharing, bundling, leaking, or otherwise transferring the digital model files to any third party.
  • Claiming ownership of the original designs or misrepresenting the source of the models.
  • Selling physical Prints after your subscription has lapsed, been canceled, or otherwise ended.
  • Commercial selling of Prints under a Fan Membership plan, which carries no commercial print resale rights.

5. Fan Membership

The Fan Membership plan is a support tier. It grants no commercial print resale rights. Subscribers to this plan may not sell physical printed derivatives of covered models. Fan Membership exists to allow supporters to contribute financially to the creator without requiring commercial licensing.

6. Usage Declaration

Commercial subscribers are expected to honestly declare their monthly print sales through the usage dashboard. This declaration system is a compliance mechanism. We reserve the right to review declarations and take action on accounts that appear to materially underreport commercial activity or exceed their licensed volume without upgrading.

7. Subscription and Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Billing is processed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, during which your license remains active. No refunds are provided for partial months. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, including but not limited to unauthorized redistribution of digital files, fraudulent usage declarations, or commercial selling outside of an active license. Termination ends all license rights immediately.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the version number and notifying active subscribers. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
